Want to desperately focus on my normal gun, but the grenade hand is always in my sights. My biggest complaint is the grenade shooter. Jumping is completely gone which makes no sense because this game can make people sick by teleporting and bouncing on launch pads. I don’t suffer from motion sickness so avoided any nonsense that tried to aid me. Turned on left stick movement with smoothing cam rotation. Had to tweak a few settings so it felt less casual. Has bonus Doom 1 stages that you can unlock to extend replay value. Has 8 levels during main campaign that feel like DLC remixes from Doom 2016. Has bonus Doom 1 stages that you can unlock Beat game in 2 hrs. Take some time to learn the controls and it’ll be a must have for any VR collection. And for half the price of a regular game, I can’t recommend it enough. Although a little short, it has plenty or replayability. Still my preferred way to play bough! Lasting appeal: 9.5/10. The Aim controller is a blast to use, but the implementation feels just a little off compared to Farpoint. However the controls don’t feel quite optimized as well as most games. However I rated it a 10 to balance out some of the ridiculous low scores. It really helps to create an atmosphere, and being there with the headset is unreal. Some of the best, if not the best graphics I’ve seen in VR. If you liked the regular Doom, you’ll love this spin off in VR. These are some of the best graphics I have ever seen in VR. If you liked the regular Doom, you’ll love this spin Doom VFR is amazing in VR. Fantastic experience, it really makes you feel glad to be alive! … Expandĭoom VFR is amazing in VR. The zombie arm that holds your grenade launcher is distracting when playing with the aim - it would be great if there was a setting to hide it, but it's hardly a deal breaker. It's a short experience, but I'm going back in for another play through on the ultra violence difficulty. I didn't play the game from last year, so seeing all the old doom baddies in VR was an amazing trip down memory lane. Zipping around with the teleporter feels natural and the guns look incredible and are lots of fun to wield. I was using the aim controller with smooth locomotion and had no issues with sickness, although I have played a lot of VR this year so have my VR legs. The sheer feeling of speed, freedom and destruction is unparalleled in anything else I have played in VR so far. but once you add a mod that gives you smooth locomotion, rotation, regular jumping. Who made Doom into VR? Its like the devs for Doom 2016 had nothing at all to do with it, because the whole flow of the game play is just SO BROKEN with the teleport / dash stuff. the way glory kills works with teleportation, it kind of breaks the flow of the game. Shame on you and make up by making extra levels a chainsaw and better insta kill (teleportation insta sucks, my 2 cents) Bethesda thanks you modders for saving their game.(and me) :) Yeah. Bethesda, can't believe no effort was put in for that option, bad bad decision. The game was a 6 or 7 for me now a big fat 9.
